The Washington Wizards won’t be making the playoffs this year and they have had a very bad season, so many NBA fans don’t hear about them often.
But they have some real talent on the roster, such as Jordan Poole.
On Monday night, Poole made history, according to the NBA on X.
During a game against the Toronto Raptors, Poole became the Wizards player with the second-most three-pointers made in a single season.
To make that accomplishment even better, Poole is just 13 shy of the franchise’s all-time record, which means he could be claiming another spot in team history soon.
With this 3, Jordan Poole now has the 2nd-most 3PM in a season in Wizards franchise history!

For the season, Poole is averaging 20.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, shooting 42.6 percent from the field.
Poole is also averaging 37.5 percent from the three-point line, which is a career high and the reason why he’s making history in Washington.
Some people claim that Poole is someone who simply puts up wild shots and makes bone-headed decisions on the court, but this record shows that isn’t true.
In fact, he has never shot so well from downtown.
In a lot of ways, this is Poole’s best season yet, but his Wizards are still struggling.
They are dead last in the Eastern Conference with their record of 15-56 and need to make some significant adjustments if they wish to reach the postseason in the next few years.
It’s not clear what those changes will be, however.
There are a number of players who could be traded away to beef up the roster, including Poole himself.
There have been rumors about just about everyone on the team, so no one is sacred.
But Poole is obviously valued in Washington and, after Monday’s game, he is historic too.
