When the 2024-25 NBA season began, Sacramento Kings fans were hoping their team could make a strong push through the playoffs.

Now, they are hoping they just reach the Play-In Tournament.

According to Evan Sidery, the Kings have lost eight of their last 11 games, and are “now on the verge of missing the postseason entirely.”

The Kings hold a 35-36 record, while the Phoenix Suns are right behind them with 35-37.

The Dallas Mavericks also have 35-37, while the Portland Trail Blazers aren’t far behind with a record of 32-40.

The Kings have lost their last three games and were taken down by the Boston Celtics on Monday night, losing 113-95 to the reigning champions.

Next up for them will be the Oklahoma City Thunder, Trail Blazers, and Orlando Magic.

The Magic game starts a six-game road trip and when they are done with that, they will have just three more games before the regular season is over.

Where will the Kings sit in the Western Conference standings when they return home?

The Suns have been surging lately and the Mavericks are looking better now that Anthony Davis is back.

That means this final stretch of games will have to be filled with strong fighting from the Kings if they want any hope of reaching the Play-In.

And if they miss it, there will be a lot of questions about what they should do to move forward.

This season has been filled with ups and downs for Sacramento, but they don’t want it to end prematurely.

They have to keep battling hard, but they need to be very aware of other Western Conference foes who are sneaking up behind them.
