Jimmy Butler returned to Miami on Tuesday night, and the Heat provided him a warm welcome.
The team played a tribute video for Butler, highlighting his many career accomplishments during his time in Miami.
Following the game, Butler spoke to the press about the game and the video that was played in his honor.
“The video was nice. But I won’t say there were a lot of emotions,” Butler said, per NBA on ESPN.

After the video played, Butler stood and waved to the crowd, who actually applauded him and seemed fairly happy to see him.
To some, this was a surprise because things did not end well between Butler and the Heat.
By the time he finally left the team, the relationship between Butler and the front office was completely ruined and it seemed they would be enemies forever.
Instead, Butler wasn’t treated too poorly, at least by the fans.
The Warriors, on the other hand, were completely dismantled by the Heat and were beaten 112-86.
The Heat have been losing a lot lately, but they have now won two in a row, and the chance to defeat their former teammate was too tantalizing for them to pass up.
They performed very well on both ends of the court, and Butler and his team looked completely outplayed.
During the game, Butler posted 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
Now that this game is out of the way, Butler and the Heat can focus on attempting to climb higher in the Western Conference standings before the playoffs begin.
They are currently without Steph Curry, but he should be back soon, and that will greatly help their chances.
The Heat weren’t kind to the Warriors during Tuesday’s game, but they tried to treat Butler well.
However, it sounds like their warm reception didn’t have a very strong impact on him.
