The 2024-2025 NBA season hasn’t gone according to plan for the Utah Jazz.

While the Jazz weren’t necessarily expected to make a deep playoff run this year, there was hope that they could finish the year around .500, hoping to build some confidence before rebuilding for the 2025-2025 campaign.

It turns out that the team is already in rebuild mode, as they are currently tied with the Washington Wizards for the worst record in the league.

With a 19-60 record, the Jazz have already put together the worst campaign in franchise history, as Legion Hoops pointed out on X.

While it is not great to be among the worst teams in the league, there is a silver lining for the Jazz.

Having a record this bad puts them in a prime position to draft a player like Cooper Flagg, a top-tier prospect from Duke, who many believe is going to be the next NBA superstar.

Flagg is in the middle of a Final Four run, showcasing his skills on a nationally-televised scale.

He has risen to the pressure of the NCAA Tournament thus far, and it will be interesting to see how his talents translate to the NBA, either on the Jazz or another team.

Besides the possibility of adding Flagg next year, there’s not a lot of optimism surrounding the Jazz, as they’ll look to just get through the next few weeks and then re-evaluate their needs when the season ends, hoping next season can be more positive.
